The stole, as a symbol of ordination, reminds
us that we are bound together, yoked, as
our
faith journey is witnessed, shared and
supported by one another.
The imagery of the stole speaks to the joys
and sorrows of our journey through the
seasons. We anticipate and celebrate birth,
life's epiphanies and resurrection, and as
we
join together in times of sadness, death
and sorrow.
Stoles make wonderful gifts for seminary
graduates and recently ordained pastors.
Acknowledging a pastor's thoughtful service
to
God, congregation, and purpose of the church
are also occasions to convey thanks with a gift
of a stole.
